Frosted Designs Season of the Stars Scrapbooking Kit

Hi Everyone!  Hope you are enjoying getting back into the swing of things since Christmas.  This was our first week back to school for me and my three boys.  It was a bit rough getting back into the 5:00am alarm!  But I've certainly enjoyed the routine, including some scrapping time.

Today I have a couple of layouts from the Season of Stars Scrapbooking Kit from Frosted Designs.  This kit is packed full of fun things!  I love all the gold and sparkle in it.

I just loved this "joy" paper and didn't want to cover up that part of it.  I considered cutting it for a Project Life card but decided to use this photo of Aden instead.  I had painted this penguin (his favorite animal!) in one of my after school pottery classes.  I was really pleased when Aden said he thought I had bought it because "it was so good".  Makes my heart happy to bring my boys joy.

The embellishments in this pack are right up my alley!  Wood veneer, washi tape, gems, and more.  I love having all those bits and pieces that I can pair with yummy paper.  With these wood veneers, I used silver and gold paint and gave them a make over.  A little gem in the middle completed the look.

I had taken these photos on a frosty/foggy day.  It was so serene and calm out.  Frost can be so delicate and beautiful.

Right now would be a great time to head on over to the Frosted Designs Store and pick up this kit and other goodies.  The kits are ON SALE!!  Buy two kits, get one FREE!!  Now who doesn't like free?!  New products are flooding the store as well so get your fingers on over there and do some shopping.  You don't even have to go out in the cold!  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time!

Art of Life

I was so very excited when I saw Art of Life paper in my goodie box from Liz at Artfull Crafts.  I couldn't wait to play with this range.  I'm not normally in front of the camera, nor do I take many selfless but this photo was an exception.  I had just had my hair done and felt fairly good about myself.  :)  So what better way to kick off the new year than with a selfie layout.

This paper range is just gorgeous.  I love the negative specialty paper and how my doily could peek through it.  I used the numbers from the domino paper along with this brad for the "0".  I love this background paper and the way it looks as if its soft and blurry around the edges.  No photo editing on this page!

Sorry for the dark photos but its rainy/snowy/grey here in Colorado today.  What a way to start the new year!

I also made some fast and easy cards with this paper and a few other goodies.  Just love this lace and trim.

We are making a 10 hour road trip tomorrow for my husband's niece's wedding this weekend.  Sure hoping this snow/rain stays in Colorado and we are not following it.  Hope you all have had a good start to the new year!  Looking forward to sharing more crafty inspirations with you in 2014.

Till next time!

Bundled Up Tray for Frosted Designs

The Christmas tree is down, the needles vacuumed up and what a better time than to finish scrap projects in my scrap room.  I've been playing with the Bundled Up collection again from the Frosted Designs Online Store .  This is such a fun and cute collection.  The colors in this collection are just perfect for boys and girls.  I truly love the prints and especially the 6x6 pad because the prints are just smaller!  Perfect sized for fitting inside this frame or as Project Life cards.  Which I plan on doing as well!

I've also used bits from the chipboard stickers and the card stock die cuts.  So many fun pieces to play with and plenty to make several projects.  I've used some of the chipboard stickers on the outside edges of the frame making them stand out a bit more.  I'm quite happy with my silver bells on a bit of twine too.

This collection really is quite fun.  I hope you will stop on over to the Frosted Designs Store and check it out along with all the other goodies.  I know I'm planning on doing some shopping over there!

Hope you have a peaceful new year!  See you again in 2014!

I have always love the Christmas season.  This year I have had a bit of a problem finding Christmas cheer but participating in the Frosted Designs 12 Words of Christmas challenge has brought a little spark in my spirit.  Definitely, the Bundled Up line puts a spark in my heart.

*Roses
*Brown Paper
*Cream colored

*Wings
*Favorite
*Apple
*Mittens
*Snowflakes
*String
*Silver white
*Bells

For my layout I have included *Silver (and) white, *Snowflakes, *Blue (satin), and *Cream colored.

I hope you will all join us for this challenge.  You can find Bundled Up on sale at the Frosted Designs online store and many other great products.  Don't forget to link up your projects to the Frosted Designs blog for the chance to win some goodies.

Morning Everyone!  My boys and I just had our last day of school yesterday for our Christmas break.  We are looking forward to sleep ins and Christmas just around the corner!  I'm looking forward to plenty of playing in my scrap room with yummy products from the Artfull Craftsshop.

Today I have a wee gift bag and tag for you. This bag began as a package from individual coffee drinks.  I used Kaiser's Take Note "Recorded" paper as my base.  Its not really Christmas words but I loved the black with writing.  I used gold washi tape to finish the edges of the paper.  The sides of the packaging is candy cane striped so I just left them as is.  The poinsettia sticker and the "Joy to the World" came from the St. Nicholas range.  A bit of lace brings it together.

For the tag, I started with Kaiser's black card stock.  Then I added a bit of trim and a tag from the St. Nicholas range.  These burgundy flowers add just the right touch.

How are you coming on your Christmas wrapping?  Only a few more sleeps!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Products I LOVE at Frosted Designs

Here in Colorado, winter hit pretty full force last week.  Below freezing temps (well below), snow, ice, and cold winds kept me busy in my scrap room.  Not that I was complaining!  :)  As I was waiting for Crate Paper's Bundled Up to arrive at my door…..which was more than worth the wait!!!!…..I dug in my stash from the online store and played with some of my favorite buys.  I truly love new scrapbook products and have a tendency to hoard them when I love them so much but these products are so lovely that its a shame to not use them.

Today I have several different layouts that feature many of the products you can find in the Frosted Designs online store.    I love products that go together but not always found  in the same line or kit.  Frosted Designs has such great products AND kits!  I love that!!!

First up I have a layout from the much anticipated Bundled Up.  I just love the colors of this line but what I love most about it, is that it can be used for more than just your winter photos.

This is a photo of my nephew from this summer and its all made with Bundled Up!  There are so many cute pages in this stack that have snowflakes, sleds, mittens, but there are also many that are not winter specific.  Crate Paper is one of my favorite manufacturers and this line did not disappoint.

Wood veneer is a hot product right now and I'm hoping the trend doesn't end any time soon!  I have included this camera and these hearts.  I used just a small piece of paper from the card stock die-cuts for the center of my camera.

Other items on this layout came from the November Scrapbooking Kit including the letters and the word "tags".

Next up is a layout with the Echo Park Reflections collection.  This is a great fall collection but has many neutral papers in it as well for other projects.  **This collection is sold out so I hope you were able to get some!**

I love the sticker pages that come with the paper kits.  This one has great words and I love these alphabet stickers.  I've also included just a few of the Um Wow hearts to highlight the sticker words.  Perfect for a page about my three boys.  Just love those boys of mine.

This layout features the yummy Basic Grey Persimmon line.  This is one of my all time favorite lines.  But then I say that about each new line that comes out!  :)  With the oranges, blues, browns, and yellows its perfect for my boys even if its not fall photos.  I've used this lovely, large doily from the November Scrapbooking Kit as part of my base.  I just love doilies on a page!

The chipboard that coordinates with this paper is full of such cute things!  I loved the squirrel and the pumpkins for this Thanksgiving page.  Included in the kit is a 12x12 full sticker page complete with two different alphabets.  I love the look of mix matched alphas on a page.

Last but not least is one more layout from the Bundled Up kit.  I can see this kit will be used till there is nothing left of it!  I do love it.  This line has such cute stuff in it!  I love that there is a good mix of all colors that works well with my boys.

Funny, as I read over my post I noticed just how many times I used "I love this…".  Its really true!  There are so many great products in the online store and I do love them.  Right now there are loads of products on sale including many that I've featured here.  I've heard that there are even more great products on their way to the store soon.  I will certainly be keeping my eye out there and filling my cart!  I "love" getting fun mail from Frosted Designs!!!

Make sure you check out the current "Silver and Gold" challenge for a chance to win a great prize!

Till next time!

Artfull Crafts Tea Break

Tea Break is a delightful, springy range from Kaiser.  As soon as I saw the set, I knew what I was going to make.  I have struggled quite a bit this past year with self-esteem issues and finding out who I am.  But thankfully, I am more sure of myself now.

Kaiser card stock misted with Heidi Swapp's Color Shine "Gold" is the base of my layout.  The 6x6 pad is great for adding layers without big prints.  I love this page for all its tags and all these embellishments.  This sticker sheet has so many awesome phrases on it.  It is versatile for many projects.  Flowers and a bit of sparkle along with some ribbon trim round out this layout.

I also quickly made some cards with the bits that didn't make it onto my layout.  So quick and easy for someone who isn't a card maker! :)

I used more of the 6x6 pad to cover this chipboard "s" for a friend.  A few flowers and one of the embellishment tags made this a quick and easy project.

Make sure you pop on over to the Artfull Crafts shop to find Tea Break and many other yummy products.  Hope you are enjoying the Christmas Countdown.  It will be here before we know it!
