About A Boy....

Excited to bring you my first post for the About A Boy design team!  There will be two challenges each month.  One on the 1st and the second on the 15th.  Your projects need to be new for the challenge and about your "boy".....son(s), husband, uncle, dad, nephew....you get the picture.  :)

The first challenge this month is "Favorite Summer/holiday Activity".   


My boys love nothing more than a good hot day and a good play on the slip n slide.  They love to see how far they can go and how big of a splash they can make.


I used Basic Grey's "Hey Boy" and "Hello" for this layout.  I added the Studio Calico boy and made a wee crown for my "king".  A few dew drops finished the page.  I love how they look like drops from Aden's splash.

    Really like this page! The dew drops are a great effect. What did you do to get the cool edge around your photo?

      To get that effect, I just lightly sanded the edges with a sanding block. The harder you sand the more photo it takes off and you will get more of the white paper underneath. Its a fun technique! :)

      Great idea! It would be cool to do this to a large photo and frame it in a very rustic frame. I will give it a try!!
