Frosted Designs...Project

Hello Everyone!  Today I have a framed project to share with you.  I've had this frame for quite awhile and just wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it.  When I got these photos printed, I knew they would be perfect for this frame.

I painted the frame brown and then stamped it with my woodgrain stamp.  I love the way that turned out.  Subtle but just right.  I added some old book pages to the frames that I didn't want photos in.

Ripping, misting, and rumpling gave me the look I wanted.  My best friend Lynne and I found these ink quills at a junk shop one day.  I've been hanging onto them cause they are just so cool!  I thought 3 wrapped together with my favourite....twine.....would be just right for this project.

These wee bottles were a find the in the same junk shop.  Love my tiny things.  I picked up the shells from our favourite beach and the sand....well, it just came from my shoes!  I could have a beach in my back yard just from the sand that we collect in shoes.  :)

Some buttons, lace trim, flowers, and a few wee words that describe my boys complete the frame.  I love the way it turned out.

I hope you've enjoyed my project and are thinking about a way you can showcase some special photos.

Happy Crafting!  :)

  1. Oh Lydia, When I saw this on Frosted Designs I loved it! I have lots of old frames I have stored away and think maybe I need to try to give them a new life! Thanks for the inspiration! Love how your project turned out and those little special things you added! Of course the pictures are the real prize!

  4. Never thought of not filling in all the squares with photos, but saving some for other bits or memorabilia. Great idea!
